Simple Questions Are Key

I ask a lot of simple questions as a project manager.

For the record, simple does not equal “dumb.”

Sometimes we confuse the two.

Questions like:

➡ Who will be responsible for XYZ?
➡ What is the purpose of the project?
➡ How will we know when we are finished with this step?

I used to feel silly asking such simple questions.

I would try to come up with more complex questions, but those always led me back to the basics.

That's because the we have to start somewhere, and simple questions often open the door to fruitful conversation.

What are some of your favorite simple questions that pack a big punch?
