Where can you find work as a freelance project manager?

“I want to be a freelance project manager, where do I find work?”

Before you get lost in the sea of online freelance work platforms, let me give you a piece of advice:

Talk to people you know who have businesses of their own. 

Small businesses are preferred. 

I often work with teams of less than 12 employees because they rarely have a project manager of their own, but are desperate for someone to help streamline workflow. 

Here are some ways you can offer to help:

  • Implement a project management tool

  • Bring to life half-completed projects that have been sitting on a to-do list

  • Work with the team to document SOPs for project management

You would be surprised how much a difference you can make in a short period of time.
