Four Things I Never Worry About as a Freelancer:
Things I never worry about as a freelancer:
❌ Walking in to work on a Friday to learn my entire department has been laid off.
❌ Losing sleep over a toxic boss or co-worker.
❌ Wondering if my manager will let me take the day off to chaperone my daughter's field trip.
❌ Stressing about whether or not I'll get a 3% raise this year.
Do I have my own set of worries as a business owner? You better believe it. But the difference is I control more of it.
So instead of worrying about the scenarios above, I create my own reality.
⭐ If a client cancels their service with me, that's ok because I have other contracts and revenue streams to fall back on.
⭐ If a client turns out to have bad behavior, I know that the arrangement is only temporary and I always reserve the right to break up if it gets really bad (this has never happened).
⭐ If I want to go on a field trip with my daughter or take the day off just because, all I have to do is build it into my schedule. No "permission" needed.
⭐ If I'm worried about money it's my own fault for not charging appropriately or planning ahead.
I'm definitely not trying to romanticize this side of things (taxes, remember? 😂), but sometimes I forget all that's worth celebrating.
