If you can't take care of yourself, then you won't be very helpful to someone else's business

If you can't take care of yourself, then you won't be very helpful to someone else's business.

Plain and simple.

One of the best gifts you can give yourself is honesty.

And as a business owner, transparency and clarity around overall vision and financial health are important, but there's more to it than that...

For example, my approach to work is holistic, which is evident in the weekly meeting I have with myself every Friday.

On the surface, it looks pretty basic:

✅ Celebrate wins

✅ Goal reminder

✅ Accountability check

✅ Address blockers

✅ Review finances

✅ Establish priorities for next week

But I also ask myself a few honest questions to make sure I'm taking care of myself from the inside out:

⭐ Did I discover anything this week that should change the way I'm working?

⭐ How did I challenge myself or step outside of my comfort zone?

⭐ How did I prioritize my self-care and the care of my family?

⭐ How did I maintain a focus on building relationships (both inside and outside of work)?

⭐ Is there anything I wish I would have done differently? Anything I am upset about? Anything I need to clear with myself or someone else in order to move forward in a healthy manner?

Because the truth is, if I'm not taking care of my own side of the fence, then I won't be my best for you, me, or anyone else.

❓ How do you support the whole health of yourself and your team?
